Mrs. Julius (Emelie Ingeborg) Anderson, 89, 530 S. 8th St., Estherville, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday [September 2, 1971] at her home.

She was born Dec. 12, 1881, at Hamilton County to Johannas and Ingeborg Sevold. She received her education in the Hamilton County schools.

She was married Nov. 10, 1909, to Julius Anderson at Rolette, N.D. They lived in Rolette four years and moved to Emmet County, retiring to Estherville in 1947.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Florence) Ness, Mildred Anderson, Mrs. Laurits (Alva) Sunde and Mrs. Leonard (Eunice) Petersen, all of Estherville, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, six brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad and the Rec. Oscar Engebretson officiating. Burial will be in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Monday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 3, 1971)
