Estherville Man’s Rites Saturday
Clarence O. Anderson, 76, died at his home at 1902 N. Sixth, early Tuesday, July 9, of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home until noon on Thursday.

Mr. Anderson was born Sept. 28, 1897 on a farm near Estherville to Albert and Sophie Nelson Anderson. He was educated in rural schools and was never married. He farmed in Emmet County until retirement in 1967. He moved into Estherville in 1969.

He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church and of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include one brother, Daniel W. Anderson of Estherville; and four sisters, Mrs. Harley Harris of Nevis, Minn., Mrs. Nellie Canfield, Muscatine, Mrs. Alma Reed, Columbus Junction, and Mrs. Fred Gabel of Mason City. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 10, 1974)
