Estherville – Services for Bruce A. Anderson, 62, of Estherville, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye and Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995 at his farm home.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born August 6, 1932 at Estherville, the son of Alfred and Hazel (King) Anderson. He received his education in country schools and Estherville Schools. He farmed with his father until he served with the United States Army. He was stationed at Camp Polk, La. and later Ft. Riley, Kansas. On Feb. 24, 1954 he was united in marriage with Marilyn Hubbard at Estherville Lutheran Church. After his marriage and discharge from service, the couple returned to Estherville and farmed the same farm in Ellsworth Township. The couple wintered in Apache Junction, Ariz.

He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church, served on the Board of Directors of DEK and ILEC from 1973-89, served as an Ellsworth Township trustee and on the ASCS Township Committee.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of Estherville; daughters, Lynnae Anderson, Spencer; Mrs. Mark (Linda) Nagel of Chippewa Falls, Wis., sons: Larry and Lee of Estherville and Lance of Beaverton, Ore.; six grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Martin of Clear Lake; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 14, 1995)
