Spring Park, Minn. – Services for Vern Samuel Waters, 84, of Spring Park, will be held Saturday at Huber Funeral Home Chapel, 1801 Commerce Blvd., Mound, Minn. with Pastor Trish Greeves officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Estherville. He died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997 at St. Louis Park.

He was born Nov. 13, 1912 at Estherville, the son of Thomas and Cora Belle (Todd) Waters. He was a Chemical Engineer for General Mills Foods, Inc. 37 years. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and MacAllaaster College. He was a Deacon of First Congregational Church at Keokuk.

Survivors include his wife, Winona; daughters Mrs. Bob (Linda) Bolyard and Mrs. Lee (Jeanne) Elizer; son Todd; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 18, 1997)
