Werner Rites Tomorrow
Max Werner, 88, died yesterday at 1:30 p.m. at the Simpson Rest Home, where he had resided for several years. He had been in poor health for some time.Mr. Werner was born in Germany, Sept. 14, 1871. He came to this country and was a longtime resident of Estherville. In later years he married Mrs. Rose Reinvoldt [Reinboldt], who died in 1954.
He has no known immediate survivors here or in Germany. Step daughters surviving are Mrs. Henry (Katherine) VanDerway, Mrs. F.J. (Freda) Ditter, Louise Reinhardt, all of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Gust (Caroline) Thorn. Also surviving are four step-sons, Ray Reinvoldt of Minneapolis, Fred and Bill Reinvoldt of Phoenix, Ariz., and Joe Reinvoldt of California.
Funeral services are tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Sternborg Chapel. The Rev. William Henline of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sternborg Funeral Home from this evening until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 7, 1959)
