Estherville – Services for Aaron Verl Wilson, 80, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 Friday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. He died Tuesday evening, August 14, 1984, at Rosewood Manor.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Wilson was born Aug. 30, 1903 at Winterset, the son of William H. and Ida Mae (Orton) Wilson. He attended the Winterset school. On Sept. 21, 1929, he was united in marriage with Mae Longman at Winterset. The couple farmed there until moving to Estherville where Wilson worked for the Tobin Packing co.; Rock Island Railroad near Pocahontas, and later did lawn work for people in Estherville. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mae, Estherville; one son Merle Wilson, Wallingford; a brother, Ersie Wilson, Winterset and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Baker, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters; one son and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 16, 1984)
