Estherville – Services for Kenneth W. [Wendell] Williamson, 62, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Kunz and the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He died Sunday, Nov. 25, 1984 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Williamson was born May 23, 1922 in Iowa Lake Township, Emmet County, Iowa, the son of Arthur R. and Mary (Pease) Williamson. He was a 1940 graduate of Estherville High School and a graduate of the University of Iowa in 1948 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He remained single. He served with the United States Marines from 1942 to 1945, during World War Two. He was employed by Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Co. for many years, retiring in 1975. During his employment he lived in Des Moines, Baltimore, Md., Pittsburgh, Pa., and Tokyo, Japan. After retiring he served on the Estherville Airport Commission. He was a member of the Christian Church; Rotary Club; VFW Post; American Legion Post and Quiet Birdmen.
He is survived by one brother, Dodds Williamson, Guttenburg, N.J.
