Heart Attack Fatal to Local Man
Frank Weaver, 71, longtime grocery salesman in the Estherville area, died at 9:40 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital of a heart attack. He had been in failing health for one year.

Family services will be held at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, following by public services at 2 p.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, the Rev. Pau. Goodland officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home from tomorrow morning until the time of services.

Mr. Weaver was born Jan. 15, 1890, in Spencer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weaver. He received his education in Spencer schools. He was married Aug. 5, 1920 to Mabel [Maybelle] Vestrem at Sibley. He and his wife moved to Estherville in 1915, where he was employed as a grocery salesman by the Estherville Grocery Company and the Jack Spratt and Monarch Foods Companies. Mr. Weaver was a member of the Elks Club.

He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Estherville.

Mr. Weaver is survived by one son, John, two grandchildren, all of Estherville, a brother, Dr. Mortimore Weaver of Glendive, Mont., and four sisters, Mrs. Nina Sellar and Mrs. Lloyd Mills of Spencer, and Mrs. Ethel Snow and Mrs. Mary Culver, both of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 9, 1961)
