Long Illness Fatal to Mrs. Ralph Sperry
Mrs. Ralph Kruse Sperry, 38, of Ringsted died of cancer at 8:30 a.m. today in Holy Family hospital. She had been suffering from the disease since June, 1948.

Mrs. Sperry was born Mar. 5, 1911 on a farm in the Jack Creek community, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kruse. She received her education in the Jack Creek rural schools.

July 31, 1941, she was married to Ralph Sperry of Ringsted, and the couple has lived in Ringsted ever since. Sperry is a mechanic.

The deceased was active in Farm Bureau women’s work, was a member of several clubs in Ringsted and was very active in community work. She was a member of Estherville Lutheran church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, Arthur, Leonard, Clifford and Kenneth, and a sister, Evelyn, all of Jack Creek, four aunts, Mrs. Charles Stoeffel, Mrs. Lewis Sweet and Mrs. Netta Gehlke, all of Estherville and Mrs. Peterson of Forest City, and three uncles, Martin Berdahl of Ringsted, Guy Kruse of Jack Creek and Earl Kruse of Estherville.

Funeral services have not yet been arranged. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 28, 1949)
