Arthur C. [Cot] Shuttleworth Dies at 66
Arthur C. Shuttleworth, 66, of Estherville, died this morning at Holy Family Hospital after a short illness.Mr. Shuttleworth was born Dec. 6, 1893 at Springfield, Ill. [per WWI draft record, Forest, Il], the son of James and Sarah Shuttleworth. In 1920, he married Alma Clausen at Estherville. He had been working as night watchman at John Morrell and Co. until his retirement in January of 1959. Mr. Shuttleworth is a World War I veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Drummy of Estherville and Mrs. Richard Tatman of Sheldon, four grandchildren, one niece, Mrs. Verle Wilson, of Estherville; one nephew, Clyde Longman of rural Estherville.
Family services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sternborg Chapel and public service at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sternborg Chapel with the Rev. William R. Noland officiating. The casket won’t be opened following services. Friends may call at the Sternborg Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
