Estherville – Services for Bert W. Shultz, 86, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Henry & Olson Funeral Home in Estherville, with Rev. Neal Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He died Saturday, July 14, 1984 at his home in Estherville.

Shultz was born Feb. 22, 1898 in Newell, Iowa, the son of William and Sarah (Fitchett) Shultz. He received his education in Newell. In 1921 he married Mabel Etna Anderson. The couple farmed north of Estherville until 1941, when Schultz became employed by Golden Sun and later Kinnard’s Dairy and Well’s Blue Bunny.

He is survived by one son, Burt Jr., LeMars; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Lee of Estherville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, two daughters, one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 16, 1984)
