Estherville – Services for Mrs. Noah (Agnes) Rugtiv, 92, will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Norman Omodt officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Sunday, Dec. 15, 1985 at the Good Samaritan Center.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born Oct. 17, 1893 at Sandane, Nordsford, Norway, the daughter of Anders and Marie Oydven [Oedven]. She attended school in Norway. She came to the United States in 1911. On Aug. 3, 1916 she was united in marriage with Noah Rugtiv in Minneapolis, Minn. After marriage the couple farmed 11 years in Orleans, Minn. area. They then moved to Estherville and have lived here since. She had been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Dr. George M. Rugtiv, Los Altos, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Leon (Dorothy) Schmidt, Santa Rosa, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three daughters; two sons; five brothers and five sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 18, 1985)
