Aged Woman Called
Death came suddenly Saturday [November 23, 1935] morning to Mrs. William Dahna, 65, while she was about the duties of her home. Altho not in her usual health for several days she was up and about as usual when stricken.

Oline Georgine Olson was born Dec. 2, 1870, in Winnesheik county, the daughter of Ole and Martha Olson. When she was a girl of fifteen the family moved to Dickinson county and on April 27, 1888 [1889, per newspaper article when married], she was married to William O. Dahna.

Twelve children were born to this union, one daughter and one son died as infants, a daughter Mrs. Martha Stone at the age of 22, and another Mrs. Josie Schultz six years ago.

Mrs. Dahna is survived by five daughters and four sons. The daughters are: Mrs. Lillian Nourse, Mrs. Nellie Burge, of Estherville, Tena Dahna of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Lottie Condon and Mrs. Mabel Brady of Chicago. The sons are: Vernon, LeRoy, Glen and Francis of Estherville.

One sister, Mrs. Ellen Thompson is living at Colton, S.D.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Estherville Lutheran church, Rev. L.A. Mathre officiating. Interment will be made beside her husband, who died in 1932.

The pallbearers will be the four sons and the sons-in-law Willard Condon and Frank Brady. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, November 26, 1935)
