Death of Mrs. Emma King
The remains of Mrs. Emma King, whose death occurred at Excelsior Springs, Mo., Thursday last [January 5, 1905], were brought here on Saturday for burial and the services were held on Monday from the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed. Ketchum and the interment made in Oak Hill cemetery. She had been ill for six or eight weeks and been ailing for a long time prior to the date of her last illness. Deceased was in her 34th year and leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. Deceased, whose maiden name was Rost was well known in this city and vicinity. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA January 11, 1905)

The body of Mrs. Emma King was brought here for burial from Excelsior Springs, Mo., Saturday and the funeral held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Ketchum Monday afternoon. Deceased was a sister of Mrs. Ketchum and Mrs. A.E. Ammon and formerly resided in this city, at one time being the wife of Photographer W.A. Stone. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rost, also residents of this city. She died of blood poison and leaves a husband and three children to mourn her death. She was thirty six years of age.
