John Morello Dies at 82
John Morello, 82, longtime resident of Emmet County, died last night at the Balmer Nursing Home. The cause of the death was attributed to complications of advanced age. He had been in failing health for the past few months.

Morello was born on Nov. 29, 1880, in Denro Demo, Italy, and he came to this county when a young man. He was married on June 24, 1924, to the former Grace Ballenger. Mrs. Morello died on May 25, 1954.

Morello was employed by the Minneapolis – St. Louis Railroad for many years. He was a veteran of the Italian army.

There are no known survivors and he was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel with the Rev. Rawlin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sternborn-Reese Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Thursday and until time of service on Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 5, 1963)
