MINNEAPOLIS - Mrs. Mildred Gertrude Cotant, 65, Minneapolis, formerly of Estherville, died at 4:30 a.m. April 27 in a Minneapolis hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating. Burial will be made in Swan Lake Township Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, until time of services on Tuesday.

She was born April 26, 1909 on a farm in Swan Lake Township to Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Wold and educated in rural and Estherville schools. In 1940, she was married to Maurice Cotant in Northwood. Ever since their marriage, she had lived in Minneapolis, and worked in various drug stores for many years.

Mrs. Cotant is survived by a stepson and stepdaughter, seven step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Erpelding, Novato, Calif., Mrs. Clifford Huntley, Armstrong, and Mrs. Corrine Bruce, Minneapolis. she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Booth, Glenn Crook, Maynard Oleson, Harold Knudson, James Beaver and Robert Nielsen.(Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 29, 1974)
