Gilman - Services for Clifford W. Huntley, 82, Gilman, and formerly of Armstrong, will be at 2p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Ringsted, with Pastor Don Sariff of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong, officiating. Burial will be in Swan Lake Township Cemetery. He died Friday, Oct. 18, 1985 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Ringsted, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 19, 1903 at Iowa Falls to Thomas J. and Eva (Reynolds) Huntley and graduated from Halfa Schools in 1923. He moved to Armstrong with his parents on March 1, 1915. On Jan 1, 1937 he was united in marriage to Mae Wold at Iowa Falls. The couple farmed in the Halfa-Ringsted area and after his father' death in 1948, they moved back to the family farm. In 1979, the sold the farm and spent the summers in Gilman and wintered in Arizona as they had for the past 14 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ringsted, Armstrong Grove Township Clerk for over 20 years and had been member of the Armstrong 100F Lodge in Armstrong.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Huntley, Gilman; two daughters, Mrs. Wavern (Jeanette) McDowell, Gilman, and Mrs. James (Beverly) Beaver, Mesa, Ariz; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.(Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 21, 1985)
