Mrs. J.H. Martin
Mrs. J.H. [Idella M. Lockard] Martin, 64, a resident of Emmet county for 43 years died early Thursday [May 19, 1932] morning at her home on South Third avenue of a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Martin retired from the farm in 1918 and had resided in this city since that time. The deceased woman was quiet and unassuming, devoted to her home, but had made numerous friends during her residence here.She is survived by her husband and seven children, three daughters, Mrs. Anna Richardson of Glasgow, Mont., Mrs. Floyd Lytle and Mrs. R.E. Lungren of Estherville, and four sons, O.O. Martin of Rockford, Minn., and Clyde and Glenn and Leonard of Estherville.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the M.E. church with Rev. W.A. WinterStein officiating. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, May 25, 1932)
Mrs. J.H. Martin Is Laid to Rest on Sunday Afternoon
Mrs. J.H. Martin, who resided on Second Avenue just west of the swimming pool passed away suddenly last Thursday morning from a severe heart attack. She had not been in the best of health but death came rather unexpected and sudden.Mrs. Martin was sixty-four years of age at the time of her death. Mr. and Mrs. Martin have resided in Emmet county for years and retired from farming some years ago and purchased a home on the west side of the river.
The funeral services were held on Sunday from the Methodist Episcopal Church, the Rev. WinterStein officiating. She is survived by her husband, three daughter and four sons. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, May 25, 1932)

Martin and daughter, Marjorie of Rockford, Minn., Morrie Martin of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lockard and family and Mrs. Libbie Kraft of Laurens and Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hewitt and children of Walnut Grove, Minn., were in this city Sunday [May 22, 1932] to attend the funeral of Mrs. J.H.
