Malakoff, Texas – Services for Rex Eugene Logue, 64, formerly of the Estherville Area, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Funeral Home in Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. He died Sunday, December 4, at his home.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born July 5, 1924 at Dunnell, Minn., the son of Everett and Willa (Van Eman) Logue, and attended Emmet Consolidated School. He farmed in Emmet county before moving in Emmet County before moving to Fairmont, Minn. where he worked as a salesman. He was united in marriage with Doris Otto in 1943 at Worthington, Minn. He married Virginia Miller in 1980, they moved to Texas in 1981. Prior to retiring two years ago, he had been a housepainter and truck driver, also part time school bus driver. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Athens, Texas.

Survivors include his wife Virginia, Malakoff; two sons, Jerry, Mountain Lake, Minn. and Jon of Minneapolis; two grandchildren; five stepsons: Michael, Robert, Kenney, Len and Lyle Miller; two stepdaughters: Pam and Connie Miller; six stepgrandchildren and one step great-grandchild; one brother, Glen Logue, Cary N.C. and one sister, Mrs. Eloise Reuland, Okoboji.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 7, 1988)
