Estherville – Services for Mrs. Willa Logue Warner, 87, Fairmont and formerly of Estherville, will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church in Estherville with Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Lakeside Methodist Home in Fairmont.Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour prior to services.
Willa VanEman was born Sept. 19, 1895 at Blairsburg, the daughter of Samuel and Grace (Reinhard) VanEman. She received her education in the Estherville schools and graduated from Estherville High School. After high school she taught in rural schools for three years before her marriage to Everett Logue on Oct. 10, 1917 [1914 per Mr. Logue’s obit] at Estherville. She and Mr. Logue farmed in Emmet County, north of Estherville until his death on May 15, 1954. On Jan. 9, 1957 she married Charles Warner at Estherville. They lived at Park Rapids, Minn. where he died on Feb. 29, 1968. Mrs. Warner continued to live in Park Rapids until 1976 when she moved to Fairmont and since Nov. 1979 she has been a resident of Lakeside Methodist Home.
Mrs. Warner is survived by two sons, Glenn Logue, Cary, N.C. and Rex Logue, Texas; one daughter, Eloise Reuland, Okoboji; two daughters-in-law, Doris Logue, Fairmont, and Shirley Logue, Cary, N.C.; nine grandchildren; four stepsons, all of Des Moines, Melvin, Charles, John and William Warner; 10 stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, three sons, parents; one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 20, 1983)
