Ora Loving – Services for Mrs. L.W. (Ora) Loving, 84, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Tom Balm officiating. Interment will be in the Laurens Cemetery with graveside services scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday afternoon. She died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1986 at Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Ora Irene Vedder was born October 3, 1901 at Laurens, the daughter of Isaac and Mary (Williams) Vedder. She was a graduate of Emmetsburg High School. She taught school from 1919 to 1962 when she retired from the Estherville School system. On Nov. 27, 1935 she was united in marriage with Dr. Luther W. Loving at Emmetsburg. She has been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center the past two and one half years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church; D.A.R.; Order of Eastern Star; National and Iowa State Education Associations.

Survivors include one sister, Eunice Hick, Estherville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who died Nov. 6, 1975; one brother and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 7, 1986)
