Estherville – Services for Mrs. Edgar (Gertrude) Kautz, 70, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Furhman Funeral Home in Estherville with the Rev. Tom Balm of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1986 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.

Gertrude Louise Guenterberg was born March 14, 1916 at Hustisford, Wis., the daughter of Gustave and Olga (Quandt) Guenterburg. She attended Hustisford schools. On Oct. 16, 1937 at Fond du Lac, Wis. she was united in marriage with Edgar Kautz. They lived in Wisconsin and California before moving to the Huntington area in 1944. She worked at the Riverside Drivein; Estherville Laundry; Holy Family Hospital; Lauritsen Nursing Home; Farmers Egg Co.; Wadco Foods; Avon and Univac in Jackson. She was a member of the Huntington United Methodist Church; AARP and RSVP.

Survivors include two sons: David, Atlanta, Ga., Allen, Estherville; three daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Erma) Keho, Des Moines; Karen Halpern, Bloomington, Minn.; Mrs. Kenneth (Peggy) Yaw, Indianola; nine grandchildren; three brothers: Emil Guenterburg, Waukesha, Wis., Willie Guenterburg, Milwaukee; Edwin Guenterburg, Watertown, Wis.; and one sister Mrs. Jake (Clara) Piffle, Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 7, 1986)
