Mrs. William Hennick Dies at Hospital
Mrs. William (Esther) Hennick, 44, died at 1:20 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital. Death was caused by cancer.Mrs. Hennick had been in failing health since undergoing surgery on May 6 and had entered the hospital upon her return from Rochester, Minn., last week.
Family services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rev. W. H. Discher officiating. Public services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Reese Funeral Home until noon Thursday. The body will lie in state at the church from noon tomorrow until the family services.
Esther Irene Walz was born March 27, 1921 at Fenton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Walz.
She was educated in the Estherville schools.
April 21, 1941, she married William Hennick at St. Paul, Minn. The Hennicks have lived in Estherville since their marriage.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Hennick is survived by her husband, William; her father, Charles Walz; two sisters, Mrs. Martin Wee and Mrs. Glen Yackle, and two brothers, William and Hilbert Walz, all of Estherville.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1944 and an infant sister. The family has established a memorial fund. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 25, 1965)
