Mildred Gardner
Estherville – Services for Mildred C. Gardner, 72, will be held Saturday morning in the United Methodist Church with Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Wed., Sept. 1, at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday.

Miss Gardner was born Dec. 7, 1909 at Belvidere, Jackson County, So. Dak., the daughter of Omen and Ruby (Noble) Gardner. She received her early education in the South Dakota schools and moved with her parents to the Graettinger area where she continued her education and graduated. She was employed many years at the Majestic and Casa Loma restaurants. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since April this year.

Miss Gardner was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two brothers: Lloyd Gardner, Cedar Falls and Stanley Gardner, Burbank, Calif.; two sisters: Mrs. Vesta Harding, Estherville and Mrs. Edith Vasey, Puyallup,Wash.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 3, 1982)
