Funeral Monday
Funeral services for Charles Flindt of Forsyth, Mont., have been postponed from Sunday until Monday because two of his daughters are unable to get here by Sunday. Services will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Mahlum and Sandin chapel. Rev. Fred. D. Sawyer will officiate and burial will be in Oakhill cemetery. Charles Flindt
Charles Vondal Flindt was born March 21, 1878, in Missouri where he spent his childhood days. They then moved to Emmet county. He was united in marriage to Minnie Lela Holmes, Dec. 4, 1903, at Armstrong. She preceded him in death April 21, 1908, at Oaks, N.D., where they had moved shortly after their marriage. After her death the children were cared for by relatives until 1914 when he took them to Montana where they have lived since.

Mr. Flindt died June 20, 1946, at Deaconess hospital, Forsyth, Mont., at the age of 68 years and three months. He had been in failing health for one year.

Those who survive are two daughters, Mrs. Jamess McGiboney of Melstone, Mont., and Mrs. Arthur Simmons of Hobson, Mont.; three brothers, Bennie of Aitkin, Minn.; Borgan of Storm Lake and Emery of Florida; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other raletives.

The body was brought back to Estherville where the funeral was held. Rev. Fred Sawyer of the Church of Christ officiated.

Burial was in Oakhill cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, July 18, 1946)
