Estherville – Services for Wendy Jean Fitzgibbons, 34, will be held – at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Albert Grendler officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery [Oak Hill]. She died Saturday, November 2, 1991, at McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Legion of Mary Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday and Parish Vigil services at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, both at the Funeral Home.

She was born October 24, 1957 at LaGrange, Ill., the daughter of Donald and Mary (Southard) Slocum, and attended LaGrange Schools, graduating from Lyons Township High School in 1975. She attended the University of Iowa, graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. While attended the University, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and member of the University of Iowa Track Team. She was employed by Air California from 1980 to 1982 and lived in Newport Beach, Calif. On September 4, 19082 she was united in marriage to Joseph L. Fitzgibbons at LaGrange. Following marriage, the couple lived in Estherville.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary and P.E.O.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph, of Estherville; three sons: Daniel Francis, Brendan Joseph and John “Jack” Donald; one daughter Laura Jean; her parents, Don and Marlene Slocum, LaGrange, two brothers, Glena and Gary Slocum, blot of Denver; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Dawn) Svitak, Warrensville, Ill.; parents-in-law, Francis and Evelyn Fitzgibbons, Estherville.
