Obituary Eva Ellis Souders
Eva Ellis Souders was born Sept. 13, 1881 [per cemetery records 1880], at Georgetown, Illinois and passed away at her home in Hutchinson, Minnesota, April 20, 1926 at the age of 45 years, 7 months and 7 days.

She was united in marriage to Ira Souders, Dec. 3, 1900 at St. Joseph, Illinois. To this union were born two sons, Norwood E. and Harold E. Souders.

In 1908 the family removed to Greenville, Iowa, eight years later removing to Minnesota where they have since remained.

When a young child Mrs. Souders was converted and was a member of the Greenville Friends Church ast the time of her death. She was a very active and efficient church worker being especially interested in the missionary work.

Mrs. Souders was a devoted wife, a loving mother and was loved by all who knew her. She always saw the bright side of life and was a living example of true Christian womanhood.

She leaves to mourn her death: her husband and two sons of Hutchinson, Minn., two brothers, Will Ellis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mack Ellis of Estherville, Iowa, two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hindman of Plainville, Ind., and Mrs. Nellie Smith of Laurens, Iowa, along with many other relatives and a host friends.

The funeral service was held at the M.E. church at Estherville, Iowa, on Thursday, April 22, at two o’clock conducted by Waldo H. Reese, pastor of the Friends Church at Arnolds Park, Iowa and assisted by Rev. Robert Chipperfield, pastor of the M.E. church, Estherville, Iowa.

Two beautiful selections were rendered by a mixed quartette composed of Mesdames Mauck and Gibson and Messrs. Erickson and Mahlum of Estherville.

Those acting as pall bearers were Messrs. Fred Smith, Chas. Smith, Frank Bombarger, John Sidles, Earl Wilcox and Bert Shirley.

Burial was at the Estherville cemetery.

Those from out of town were: Miss Mae Couders of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Myrtle Hindman of Plainville, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Mel Elliott and daughter of Alda, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Ott Souders and son Virgil of Spencer, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smith and daughter Viola of Laurens, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Willers and son Harry, Miss Mamie Brawler, Mr. and Mrs. Carlson and two sons, all of Greenville, Iowa and Will Ellis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
