Will Elginfritz Dead
Former Estherville Young Man Died Friday at Sioux City
William C. Elginfritz, a young man who was reared in Emmet county, died last Friday [January 12, 1906] night at Sioux city in his twenty-third year. He had been ill for three weeks.

The young man left Estherville about a year ago and was employed in the Armour packing house at Sioux City and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. John Tythcott, 615 Omaha street, former residents of Estherville. He was an industrious young man of good habits and had many friends in this vicinity.

He was born near Marion and came to Emmet county with his parents thirteen years ago. The family resided on a farm near Superior for four years, then moving to Estherville. His father died four years ago but he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary A. Folk of Plainfield, Iowa, three brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Harry of this city and Arthur and Robert of Plainfield, and the sisters are Mrs. C.F. Palmer and Mrs. G.C. Appel of this city and Vernie who resides with her mother at Plainfield.

Mrs. Appel went to Sioux City on learning of her brother’s death and brought the remains to Estherville for burial, arriving Monday evening. The funeral services were held at the Appel residence at p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Wm. Shoesmith of the Christian church. The interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
