Estherville – Memorial services for Mary Alice Danielsen, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Kunz officiating. Committal service will take place at the Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. She died Wednesday, March 4, 1987 at Estherville Good Samaritan Center.

There will be no visitation. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is handling the arrangements.

Mary Rogers was born April 8, 1905 at Estherville, the daughter of Ike and Louise (Hawk) Rogers. She attended and graduated from the Estherville schools and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She taught school at Maple Hill and Emmet Consolidated schools before her marriage to Samuel B. Danielsen on Oct. 31, 1926. After her family was grown she worked at the Good Samaritan Center as an aid. She lived her entire life in Estherville. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include one daughters, Mrs. Lan (Miriam) Seylar, Knoxville, Tenn.; three sons: Dale Danielsen, Roscoe, Ill., David Danielsen, West Richland, Wash. and Donald Danielsen, Tacoma, Wash.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister Dorothy Rogers, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died March 13, 1963 [1953]; two brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 5, 1987)
