Chris H. Danielsen Dies at 77
Chris H. Danielsen, 77, former Estherville police chief died at 7:40 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family hospital. He died of hardening of the liver after receiving medical treatment for six weeks and being hospitalized for 15 days.

Mr. Danielsen was born April 3, 1874 in Langelanda, Denmark. He came to America with his family at the age of seven and attended the Franklin county public schools.

He married Hanna Wolden March 10, 1891 in Franklin county and lived for several years near Dows. They moved to Wallingford in 1903 and to Estherville shortly afterward.

Mr. Danielsen worked for several years for Estherville --- and on the Rock Island railroad before he joined the police force Dec. 22, --. He remained with the police force for – years and was police chief for ---. He retired in October, 19--.

He became a member of the Christian church in Estherville in 1913 and has served as deacon, trustee, and other – positions in the church.
