Eileen Maxine Triggs O'Brien 1927-2013

Eileen Maxine (Triggs) O'Brien, the daughter of John and Lucille (Bishop) Triggs was born March 14, 1927, in Ayrshire, Iowa and departed this life on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 86 years old.

She received her education in Palmer, Iowa, graduating from Palmer High School.

On April 15, 1950, she was united in marriage to Joseph O'Brien. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Eileen worked five years for the Fort Dodge Laboratory. The couple moved to Iowa Falls then to Estherville. Joe and Eileen enjoyed their yearly trips to Las Vegas. Eileen also enjoyed playing cards, spending time at the lakes and with her family.
Eileen was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville; altar society and the VFW Auxiliary.

Left to cherish Eileen's memory are her daughter, Kathy Simacek and her husband, Bob of Laurens, Iowa; son Rick O'Brien and his wife, Sarah of Adel, Iowa; grandchildren, Brandie (Lalo), Amanda (Jeremy), Emily, Joseph, Morgan (Brandon), Madison, Logan, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Lenon, Clay, Jakson, Adela and Evan; brother, Vince (Eileen) Triggs of Laurens; sister, Vira (Vern) Metzger of Palmer and brother-in-law, Ron (Iva) Lang.

She has been preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother and sisters-in-law, Paul and Marie McDonnell; Kenny and Marge Sternitzke and other relatives. (www.henryolsonfuneral.com)

ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Eileen O'Brien, 86, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Thursday, July 18, 1013, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 18, 2013)
