Former Teacher Here Dies
Mrs. Hulda [Huldah] Glaus, aunt of Ralph Lough of Estherville and former teacher here, died yesterday morning at a rest home in Boone where she and her husband were residing. Mrs. Glaus, the former Hulda Peterson, moved to Boone from Estherville and was married there. She was a member of the Christian church. The body is to be brought here for burial, which will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Details are not yet known but will be announced when completed. Out-of-town Friends and Relatives at Glaus Rites
Out-of-town friends and relatives who attended graveside rites here for Mrs. Carl Glaus of Boone yesterday include Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kerstetter of Charles City, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leopold of Superior and Mrs. Ernest Haughland of Dunnell. After the service those who attended the funeral were served lunch at the Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lough home. Mr. Lough is a nephew of the late Mrs. Glaus. Those who served include Mrs. Roy Goggin, Mrs. Lew Salyers, Mrs. Kenneth Ayers and Mrs. Vernon Thompson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 7, 1958)

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kerstetter of Charles City were overnight guests Thursday at the Charles Leopold home. The Kerstetters accompanied the body of Mrs. Kerstetter’s aunt, Mrs. Carl Glaus, the former Hulda Peterson, to Estherville from Boone for burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Glaus passed away after a long illness Tuesday [per previous article, March 4, 1958] evening. The Leopolds also attended services with her brother and wife.
