Estherville – Services for Kenneth Ankrum, 69, Fairfield Bay, Ark., and formerly of Estherville, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Ankrum died Tuesday [August 8, 1978] at Clinton, Mo., following a short illness.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ankrum, he was born Aug. 25, 1908, at Minneapolis, Minn., and received his education in the Estherville schools. He was married to Ardis Clark on Oct. 20, 1934, at Spirit Lake. The couple lived in Estherville for a short time and are presently from Fairfield Bay, Ark.

Mr. Ankrum is survived by his wife, Ardis; two sons, Darryl Ankrum, Belton, Kan., and Dennis Ankrum, Ripley, Tenn.; five grandchildren; one brother, Merton Ankrum, Seattle, Wash.; and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Hageman, Moberly, Mo., and Mrs. Mildred Hayes, San Diego, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
