Robert H. Maidment Dies at 83
Funeral services for Robert H. Maidment, 83, who died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday [July 11, 1964] at Holy Family Hospital from complications resulting from a stroke, will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at Huntington Methodist Church, Rev. Fred Ortmyer officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery in Estherville.

Robert Hugh Maidment was born Oct. 23, 1880, in London, England, and received his schooling in schools in England. When he was 12 years old, he moved to Humboldt County with his parents.

In 1914 he married the former Martha Huff in Humboldt. In 1924 he moved to a farm near Huntington and farmed there until his wife died in 1942. He then retired and moved to Estherville. He was a member of the Huntington Methodist Church.

Surviving Mr. Maidment is a son, Dwight, of Estherville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and a number of brothers and sisters.
