Mrs. Stober, Wallingford, Dies at 79
Mrs. Josephine [Madison] Stober, 79, died at 6 a.m. today at the Jack Hanson home in Wallingford where she had been making her home.

Death was attributed to a lingering illness and the complications of age.

Mrs. Stober was born in Denmark June 5, 1884, and came with her family at an early age to Hardy, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.

For many years she was telephone operator at Hardy. She was married there Nov. 25, 1914 to Claude Stober and they continued to live there until 1932 when they moved to Wallingford. Mr. Stober died Jan. 1, 1958.

Mrs. Stober is a member of the Wallingford Lutheran church.

She is survived by one son, Duane Stober, of Amarillo, Texas, three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Morton Bensen of Ringsted. She was preceded in death by her husband, several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallingford Lutheran church, the Rev. Harley H. Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in High Lake cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday and until noon Sunday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 16, 1963)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized November 25, at home of John w. Notestine in Renwick when Miss Andre [Andrea] Madsen was united in marriage to Claude Stober of Ottumwa, Iowa. (Humboldt Republican, Humboldt, IA, December 11, 1914)
