The little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Davis, living south of town, died Monday [November 19, 1900] evening of diphtheria and was buried yesterday afternoon. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in their hours of profound sorrow. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, November 21, 1900)
