Nellie Neilson, 21 Years of Age Dies Suddenly
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Neilson
Jack Creek, Nov. 28 – Nellie Neilson, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Neilson of the community of Ringsted, died Saturday [November 26, 1927] at the home of her parents. Her sudden death was a shock to many people of this vicinity.Nellie Neilson was born at Prairie City in Jasper county, January 9, 1907, and was educated in the public schools of Emmet county. She was a former member of Cheerful Workers 4-H club, also the C.C.C. club. She also was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge in Ringsted. She is survived by her father and mother, three brothers, Frankie, George and Walter, five sisters, Grace, Christena, Mildred, and Geraldine of this vicinity and Mrs. John Lowenberg of Armstrong. A brother died in infancy.
Short services were conducted by the Rev. Coade at the home and at the Hoprig church. Burial was in the family lot in High Lake cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 30, 1927)
