5-Year-Old Boy Run Over By Tractor, Dies
Marvin Christian Rushed to Estherville at Once
Marvin Christian, 5-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christian of Wallingford, died late last night from injuries suffered yesterday when he was run over by a tractor on the Christian farm.
The boy was taken to the Park View clinic for attention but failed to rally. The tractor was driven by his father.
No funeral arrangements have been made. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 28, 1943)

Marvin Russell Christian, who was killed when he was run over by a tractor Aug. 27, was born Jan 5, 1938, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christian of Wallingford.
He was baptized in the Immanuel Lutheran church March 13, 1938, and was a member of that Sunday school.
Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Dolores and Arlene, a brother, Loren, and a grandmother, Mrs. Christianna Christian.
Last rites were conducted from the Immanuel Lutheran church yesterday afternoon, with the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker in charge. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 1, 1943)

Funeral services for Marvin Christian were held from the Immanuel [Lutheran church] on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker in charge. Marvin was accidentally killed when run over by a tractor on Friday.
Marvin Russell Christian, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christian was born January 5, 1938. He was baptized in the Immanuel Lutheran church on March 13, 1938 and was a member of the Sunday school.
Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn his early departure two sisters, Delores and Arlene, and one brother, Loren; his grandmother, Mrs. Christiana Christian and many uncles and aunts. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, September 2, 1943)
