James H. Benson Dies After Attack
James Harry Benson, 74, of Des Moines, a former Ringsted resident, died Sunday [September 4, 1966] noon at his cabin at Ingham Lake after suffering a heart attack.He was a member of the Ringsted Presbyterian Church and the Armstrong Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. MariBell Cooke of Des Moines and Mrs. Thomas (Jane Ellen) Dalbey of Fort Des Moines; and one sister, Mrs. Harry White of Waterloo.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ringsted Presbyterian Church, Rev. Robert Hickman officiating. Burial will be in High Lake Township Cemetery at Wallingford.
Friends may call at the Thomas Funeral Home at Ringsted after 10 a.m. today until 1 p.m. Wednesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 6, 1966)
