Olaf Martin Thoreson Dies
Graettinger – Services for Olaf Martin Thoreson, 82, are pending at the Martin-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger.

Mr. Thoreson died at the Holy Family Hospital yesterday following several weeks of illness. Death was attributed to complications of old age.

Born May 26, 1879, the son of Gustav and Olina [Olena Tollefson] Thoreson, Mr. Thoreson was a life-long resident of the Twelve Mile Lake community. He was a trustee of the township for several years until his health failed.

Mr. Thoreson is survived by three nieces and three nephews. His parents, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Services will be held in the Wallingford Lutheran Church with burial to be in the Wallingford Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 12, 1962)

Services Friday

TERRIL. Olaf Thoreson, 82, of Twelve Mile Township, died Sunday, March 11, in the Holy Family Hospital at Estherville.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church at Wallingsford with the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating. Burial will be in the Wallingsford Cemetery. The Martin Funeral Home of Graettinger is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thoreson was born and lived on the same farm all his life. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Kate Thoreson of Graettinger and several nieces and nephews. (Terril Record, Terril, IA, March 15, 1962.
