Estherville – Services for Norman J. Thomas, 55, of Estherville, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Jack Torgerson of Wallingford Lutheran Church presiding. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery with military graveside service by V.F.W. Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91 both of Estherville. He died Saturday, June 22, 1996 at Tucson, Arizona.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 3, 1941 at Des Moines, the son of John and Johanna (Larsen) Thomas and received his education in the Gruver School. He served in the United States Air Force during the early 1960’s. Following his discharge he lived in Michigan and South Dakota before moving back to Estherville. Norman was also employed driving over the road truck for MCT, Ruan and Terry Tundland, also for Sathers.

Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Paul (Chris) Radmaker, Estherville; sons: Jeff of Sioux City; Norman, Jr. of Wichita, Kans.; Clark of Minnesota and Rhett of Graettinger; 11 grandchildren and his mother, Johanna Thomas of Estherville.
