Mrs. Stall Dies at Age of 66
Mrs. Edward Stall, 66, died at 11:30 a.m. yesterday in Worthington. She had been in poor health for the past eight years and the immediate cause of her death was hardening of the arteries.She was born Ida Josephine Aanonson, Oct. 7, 1885, in Emmet county. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Lars Aanonson.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She attended the grade schools of Emmet county and after completing work in these schools she attended Jewell Lutheran academy and Madison Lutheran Norman school. After graduating from the Normal school at Madison, Minn., she taught until the time of her marriage.
On Oct. 9, 1904, she married Edward Stall and to this union they had four children, Lyle, Irving Gladys and Vernon.
She spent the greater part of her life on the farm home east of the Lutheran church which also was the place of her birth. After their marriage, however, several years were spent at Jackson, Spirit Lake and Estherville. For about the last six years she has been in Worthington at a nursing home where the special care she need could be given her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; two children, Irving and Gladys; two brothers, John and Lewis; and four sisters, Belle, Ann, Lena and Jane.
Surviving are her two sons, Lyle of Jackson and Vernon of Estherville; one sister, Mrs. John Pro (Mary); seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 21, 1952)
