Edward Stall Dies
Edward Stall, 69, of Estherville, died at 5:30 a.m. today at Holy Family hospital. Funeral arrangements have not been made as yet and will be announced in tomorrow’s Daily News. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 12, 1951)

Edward Stall Services Tuesday
Funeral services for Edward Stall, 69, who died yesterday morning of cancer will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Sternborg funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church east of Wallingford.

Stall had been ill for about three weeks. He was born in 1881 at Jackson, Minn., and was married in October, 1904 to Ida Josephine Aanonson. He lived in Jackson and Spirit Lake, farmed south of Gruver for many years but of recent years had lived in Estherville. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Lyle of Jackson and Vernon of Estherville; and brother living at Windom, Minn.

Edward Stall Was Native of Jackson
Mr. Edward Stall was born Nov. 26, 1881, at Jackson, Minn. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Stall. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church north of Jackson known as the Stall church.

He was united in marriage to Ida Josephine Aanonson on Oct. 9, 1904, in Wallingford. To this union were born four children, three sons and one daughter.

He spent his life in various places, Jackson, Emmetsburg, Petersburg and Spirit Lake and farmed for many years south of Gruver but lived more recently in Estherville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Irving, who died at birth, one daughter, Gladys, who died at the age of one year, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Lyle of Jackson, Vernon of Estherville; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He had been ill for about three weeks and in the hospital for that time. He died Oct. 12 at 5:30 a.m. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 26, 1951)
