Graettinger – Services for Viola Henrietta Schubbe, 77, will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Graettinger with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Monday, June 3, 1991 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger after 3 p.m.

She was born August 7, 1913 near Wallingford, the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Behrens) Schubbe. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1930 with a teacher certificate. Following graduation she took nurses training after which she worked in Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines. She became ill within a year an since that time has lived with a sister in Graettinger. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one sister Mrs. Francis (Verna) Flannegan, Graettinger; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 6, 1991)
