Bert [Albert] Rolfson
Bert H. Rolfson, 82, of rural Wallingford, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1986, at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Graettinger with the Rev. Ronald R.P. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Thursday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger.

He was born February 24, 1904 in Hoquaim, Wash. to Edward and Sophia (Jensen) Rolfson. He graduated from Graettinger High School in 1924. He married Pearl Swift on Dec. 15, 1932 in Jackson. He farmed all his life and had lived on the same farm in Twelve Mile Lake Township since 1933. He retired in 1967. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Graettinger.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl, Wallingford; daughters, Judith (Mrs. Robert) Emary, Worthington, Minn., Kathleen (Mrs. Raymond) Dahna, Estherville, Mary (Mrs. Ronald) Fay, Graettinger; five grandchildren; brothers, Byron Rolfson, Graettinger, Emmet Rolfson, Wallingford; a daughter [sister?] Christina (Mrs. Albert) Norris, Graettinger; a sister-in-law, Esther Rolfson, West Bend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Elvin and James and a sister, Emma. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 4, 1986)
