Car Wreck is Fatal to Jerry O’Neill
Gerald [Jerold] (Jerry) H. O’Neill, 21, of Armstrong was fatally injured early this morning when the car in which he was driving along went out of control and rolled over near Brainerd, Minn.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. O’Neill were notified early this morning that he had been injured and had been taken to St. Joseph’s hospital in Brainerd. They left for Brainerd before word of his death from injuries was received.

Jerry was a graduate from Armstrong high school where he was an outstanding athlete. He had attended the State University of Iowa and was a student at St. John’s College, Collegeville, Minn.

Survivors include his parents and three brothers, John, Jim and Jean.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 2, 1955)
