Henry Feger Dies; Rites Are Thursday
Henry August Feger, 54, died shortly after noon yesterday at Holy Family hospital. Mr. Feger had been hospitalized since Sept. 6, as a result of injuries in a fall from a corn crib that day.

In the fall, Mr. Feger had broken his right leg, right shoulder and collar bone, all of the ribs on his left side and punctured a lung. After the first week, he was believed to be recovering but immediate cause of death was attributed to formation of a blood clot.

Henry Feger was born April 30, 1902 in New Berlin County, Ill. At an early age he came to Emmet county with his parents. Since that time he has been on a farm in the Estherville area until retirement from farming in 151.

He was united in marriage to Dora Hannover, June 3, 1950 at St. Patrick’s church.

During World War II, Mr. Feger worked on the Alaskan highway. Mr. Feger had done carpentry work to some extent during all of his lifetime, and after retirement and especially during the past year and a half had been employed in this field.

Surviving his death are his widow, three step-children, Harlan and Elaine Cuklanz, both of Estherville, and George Cuklanz of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Carl and Walter, both of Estherville; two sisters, Sister Agnes Lovell, Spirit Lake and Sister O.P.live [?] Van Cura, Eau Clair, Wisc.

His parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 8:30 a.m. at Sandin-Fuhrman funeral home and 9:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s church, the Rev. Father James H. Duhigg officiating.

Rosary will be recited tonight at 8:30 for the family and tomorrow night for friends at Sandin-Fuhrman. Friends may call at the funeral home from now until time of services.

Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 25, 1956)
