The little two year old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Refsell died last Saturday night, after a two weeks illness. The grief stricken parents can be assured of the heart felt sympathy. Few families have escaped such experiences and all can understand the feeling of the sorrowing parents. But the little baby is in a better home. Christ said, “Suffer little children to come unto me.” (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 4, 1896)

Mr. and Mrs. O.O. Refsell are mourning the loss of their little son Maurice [Morris], aged two years and one month, who died Sunday morning of cholera infantum. The funeral occurred at the Wallingford chapel Tuesday afternoon. The sympathy of all our citizens re with the bereaved parents. (Semi-Weekly Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, November 6, 1896)
