Funeral Set for Monday for Mrs. Nels Osher
Mrs. Nels (Winifred) Osher, 81, Wallingford, died at her home from a heart condition on Wednesday [November 25, 1970].

She was born Sept. 3, 1889, at Traer, to Dr. and Mrs. Charles Boone. She received her education in the Traer schools.

On Jan. 17, 1911, she was married to Nels O. Osher at the home of her parents. They made their home in the Wallingford area. She is a longtime member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church and of several women’s organizations of the church.

Mr. Osher died in June of 1958.

Survivors are two daughters, Mildred DeWall, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Clare (Viola) Site, North Ridge, Calif., and four sons, Edwin, Wallingford, Dean, Hebron, Neb., Wayne, civilian government employee in Vietnam, Gary, Phoenix, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She is the last in her family, having been preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Pannkuk officiating. Burial is in the Wallingford Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, anytime on Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.

Pallbearers are Ralph Torreson, Stanley Young, Norman Egeland, Albert DeWall, Francis Skattebo, Amos Egeland. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 27, 1970)
