Wallingford – Services for Mrs. Carol Osher LeGore, 57, Wallingford, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. n the Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Jolivette officiating. Interment will be in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Monday, Sept. 8, 1986 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday and at the Church after noon on Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 9, 1986)

Carol Jones was born June 14, 1929 at Iowa City, the daughter of Wesley and Bonnie (Wolford) Jones. She moved with her family to a farm in Emmet County in 1934 and attended rural schools near Swan Lake and graduated from Maple Hill in 1946. She attended the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls where she earned her teaching credentials and taught school in Emmet and Dickinson Counties. In 1949 she was united in marriage with Everett Osher at Wallingford and the couple lived on a farm near Wallingford; he died in 1970. In 1973 she married Wayne LeGore at Webster City, he died Dec. 3, 1984. She was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church, was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and held local, county and district offices. She was also active in P.T.A., scouting and public education for the council of the Prevention of Domestic Violence.

She is survived by two sons: Christopher Osher, Marshall, Minn. and Thomas Osher, Sioux Falls, S.D.; one brother Kenneth Jones, Maplewood, Minn.; three sisters: Virginia Kirchner, Hillsboro, Ore., Mrs. Lowell (Barbara) McKean, Salt Lake City, Utah and Mrs. John (Betty) Croner, Morristown, Minn.

She was preceded in death by both husbands; parents and one sister.

The family request that memorials be sent to Wallingford Lutheran Church or the Emmet County Upper Des Moines food pantry. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 10, 1986)
